Job summary

Community LIFE is seeking an On-Call Community Care Aide to assist frail, older adults with daily living activities at their homes. The role requires independence, responsiveness to calls, and the ability to cover shifts in McKeesport and Mon Valley areas.

A valid PA driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required, with shifts Monday–Friday evenings and select weekend hours. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One or more years of verifiable experience with frail/elderly population preferred.
• Experience in home care or nursing assistant roles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist frail, older adults with activities of daily living and personal care at their residence.
• Respond to on-call calls and be available to cover care in designated areas.

Job description

Locations/Shifts: McKeesport and Mon Valley areas, Monday-Friday4pm-10pm and 6:30am-9:30pm on weekends

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr. and up (based on experience) Daily Pay is Available!

Summary: The On-Call Community Care Aide (CCA) is responsible for helping frail, older adults (age 55+) with their activities of daily living and with performing personal care services at their place of residence. On-Call CCAs must be comfortable working independently and be able to quickly respond to changing circumstances. This position requires the selected candidate to be able to respond to calls and be available to cover care during the on-call time frame for their designated areas. A reliable vehicle and valid PA driver's license are required.

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience: One or more years of verifiable experience working with the frail/elderly population is preferred. Experience as a personal care aide, CNA, home health aide or nursing assistant is desirable. Experience working in home care and demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with patients and caregivers in a healthcare or community setting.
