Job summary

White Earth Reservation is seeking a Head Start on-call substitute to support childcare centers across sites. The position is on-call up to 29.5 hours per week with pay of $21.62 per hour and is filled until filled.

You will assist with instructional activities promoting social, physical, emotional, and intellectual growth, as well as care for the children's needs including feeding, changing, and hygiene, following program policies and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Follow and apply White Earth policies and Head Start guidelines.
• Understand White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history.
• Strong English language skills: spelling, grammar, and composition.
• Know local transportation regulations for students.
• Proficient administrative/clerical procedures.
• Mathematical ability for quick calculations.
• Lift up to 30 pounds when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher with lessons and activities for children.
• Prepare lessons and materials and teach according to guidelines.
• Monitor bus routes in morning/afternoon to ensure safe transport.
• Complete paperwork per department guidelines.
• Report child abuse or neglect as mandated reporter.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
