Job summary

Dodge County in Wisconsin is seeking a Part Time, Non-Exempt HazMat Team member for on-call incident response. The role supports ICS operations, coordinates with local agencies, and maintains safety and documentation for hazardous material incidents.

Responsibilities include responding to chemical emergencies, assisting with decontamination, and ensuring proper PPE use and incident action plans in alignment with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must attend annual eight (8) hour refresher course.
• Must attend at least two (2) of the four (4) quarterly training meetings.
• Must hold a driver/operator pumper certification or a valid CDL to operate Hazmat Squad.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience providing necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responds to chemical emergencies in Dodge County as requested by the Incident Commander.
• Coordinates with agencies to mitigate the situation.
• Uses ICS/NIMS as defined by NIMS during deployments.
• Provides incident documentation and maintains safety and equipment records.
• Operates as HazMat Group Supervisor, Team Leader, Safety Officer, or Team Member as assigned.
