Job summary

Global Medical Staffing is seeking a trauma/general surgeon for 24-hour call coverage in New Mexico. The position involves rounding, handling a trauma and emergency general surgery patient population, and performing endoscopy and related procedures with an average of 7 consults per day.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS and ATLS certifications required.
• Endoscopy and emergency general surgery procedures required.
• Trauma and emergency general surgery patient population with rounding involved.
• Average workload includes ~7 consults per day and 7 am–7 am call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma and emergency general surgery care for the patient population.
• Staff call coverage from 7 am to 7 am with rounding.
• Perform endoscopy and emergency general surgery procedures as needed.
