Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a physician for locum tenens coverage in New Mexico, La Luz. Shifts: 12H (7am-7pm) and 24H (7am-7am). 8-20 patients per shift; 3-5 admissions daily. System-wide EGS call coverage across three hospitals. Averaging 92 shifts per month.

Requires laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty; chest tube and vascular procedures preferred. Paid malpractice, prepaid travel and housing, and 24/7 Weatherby consultant access.

Qualifications

• Laparoscopic surgery, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty are required.
• Chest tube insertion and vascular procedures are preferred.
• EGS call coverage across three hospitals is required.
• Shifts include 12-hour and 24-hour rotation with portal time-entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide system-wide EGS call coverage across three hospitals.
• Manage 8–20 patients per shift and 3–5 admissions per 24 hours.
• Enter assignments and time details in the online portal.
