Job summary

Alternative Family Services is seeking an on-call Case Aide to support foster youth in San Francisco and surrounding communities. This part-time, as-needed position provides flexible scheduling for evenings and weekends to respond to emergency placements.

Responsibilities include supporting the child and foster family, coaching and tutoring, documenting visits for CPS, and ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance while transporting youth as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain fingerprint clearance prior to hire.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Ability to interact calmly and professionally with clients.
• Ability to interact with coworkers and county representatives.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have integrity and strong work ethic.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services to the child and foster family.
• Provide interventions such as coaching, mentoring, skill building and tutoring.
• Provide emergency response during evenings and weekends.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the foster child at all times.
• Transport children to various settings using a personal vehicle in safe order.
• Submit written documentation of visitations and activities to CPS workers.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy practices.
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality policy.
