Job summary

Alternative Family Services is seeking an on-call Case Aide to support foster youth in San Francisco and surrounding communities. This part-time, as-needed position provides flexible scheduling for evenings and weekends to respond to emergency placements.

Responsibilities include supporting the child and foster family, coaching and tutoring, documenting visits for CPS, and ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance while transporting youth as needed.

Qualifications

• Must obtain fingerprint clearance prior to hire.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Ability to interact calmly and professionally with clients.
• Ability to interact with coworkers and county representatives.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have integrity and strong work ethic.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

This On-Call/Standby Contingent Case Aide is a part time/as needed position that serves San Francisco for emergency placements into safe homes during the night and weekend hours.

Alternative Family Services is a Foster Family, Adoption and Mental Health Agency that has been serving abused and neglected children in our community since 1973. Our mission is to support vulnerable children and families in need of stability, safety, and well-being in communities. We provide a wide range of foster, adoption, mental health and transition-aged youth services in English and Spanish. We have eight locations throughout the Bay Area and over 200 employees. Needed Upon Hire

• Work with minimal direct supervision
• Possess a high level of integrity, honesty and strong work ethic
• CPR/First Aid certification

Driving Requirements

This position requires the employee to work out in the community and within foster homes throughout the Bay Area. Thus, position requires employee to possess a valid CA driver's license and valid automobile insurance with his/her name on the verification card as an insured driver on the policy at all times. Position requires daily access to a car in safe working order.

We Offer

• $50 per hour during emergency placement
• $22.40/hour standard pay rate
• $35 stipend per shift while on standby (no hourly rate paid while on standby)
• Generous sick pay accrual
