Job summary

The position requires completion of specialized training, on-call availability (48 hours/month), and a commitment to provide two years of service after training.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• SANE-A certification preferred.
• Forensic nursing certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• 80% Assessment/Diagnosis: collect comprehensive data, patient history, head-to-toe assessment, evidence collection with approved kit, report injuries to physician.
• 20% Safety Planning/Follow up care: coordinate safety plans, arrange follow-up STI/HIV testing, testify in court when required.
