Job summary

Kenworth Louisiana is seeking a Field Service Technician to maintain and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment at customer sites across Louisiana. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance while meeting OEM standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications include a post-secondary degree or certification plus 2+ years of related experience, valid driver's license, and ability to work an on-call schedule. Some travel and tool ownership expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or Certification from an accredited post-secondary school plus 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
• OEM Certifications Preferred
• Must obtain a Valid Driver's License and have the ability to pass our insurance requirements
• Must be able to work an On-Call schedule
• Must own most basic tools and some specialty tools

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair machinery and heavy-duty vehicles to OEM standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing at customer sites.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed components.
• Document work performed on repair orders.
• Supervise any assigned apprentices as needed.
• Travel to various customer and branch locations as required.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
