Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a field technician to operate on-call in the field or provide technical support to assigned customers. Responsibilities include design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of assigned products or processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year technical degree.
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training/certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise related to product implementation and continued service.
• Provides technical solutions and design implementations for products and services.
• Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment, parts, components and assemblies.
• Analyzes and interprets test data.
• Evaluates performance and reliability of materials.
• Performs routine analysis and calculation and recommends changes.
• Diagnoses and reports malfunctions.
• Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.
