Job summary

LAUKOA is seeking four On-call Field Biologists to join our conservation and planning team. These part-time positions require extensive field work across the U.S., with a focus in the southwestern border region.

Candidates should have 5+ years of field ecology experience, field survey skills, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions. Responsibilities include wildlife and vegetation surveys, wetland delineations, data collection with ESRI/GPS tools, and producing concise

Qualifications

• Five+ years of full-time biological/ecological field experience.
• BS in ecology, biological sciences or related field.
• Ability to document important field findings accurately.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather and travel extensively.
• Experience with ESRI software and GPS in the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys for wildlife, rare plants, and wetland delineations.
• Support nest surveys, vegetation inventories, and habitat assessments.
• Document field data and prepare findings sections of reports.
• Operate GPS, tablets, and field data collection tools.
• Coordinate with project team and clients; ensure regulatory compliance.
