Job summary

LAUKOA seeks four On-call Field Biologists to join our conservation and planning team across the U.S. Southwest. You will conduct botanical, wildlife, and wetland surveys, support habitat restoration, and collect detailed field data using GPS and ArcGIS.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field ecology experience, a BS in ecology or related field, and are comfortable with travel and varied terrain. LAUKOA offers a strong benefits package and flexible field-focused work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of full-time biological/ecological field experience.
• BS in ecology, biological sciences or related field.
• Ability to document important field findings accurately.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% during growing season; able to work in harsh weather.

Responsibilities

• Field Surveys: botanical, wildlife, nesting birds, and wetland delineations.
• Endangered species and habitat surveys with Recovery permits as needed.
• Data collection using ESRI software and GPS devices.
• Prepare findings sections of reports, figures, and photologs.
• Provide GIS mapping and regulatory compliance support.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients; communicate findings clearly.
• Assist with proposal submissions and project planning.
