Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a General Trades Tech 3 in Georgia. This role involves supervising trades staff, coordinating facility projects, and ensuring safety and compliance across state buildings. Some travel to meet daily business needs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of building repairs/maintenance experience.
• Experience in repair/maintenance or related areas.
• Ability to travel to meet daily business needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and guides work assignments of staff.
• Coordinates engineering, maintenance, renovation, and construction of facilities.
• Oversees use of contractors and contracted maintenance workers.
• Reviews plans and conducts on-site inspections to ensure guidelines.
• Manages parts inventory, purchases, and work orders.
• Maintains a safe working environment and leads safety programs.
