Job summary

Smile4Life Security Protection Corp. seeks reliable Event Security Guards for our special-events team in New York City and surrounding areas. This on-call role has no guaranteed hours, with assignments for parades, festivals, concerts, and corporate events.

Guards must arrive on time and complete the full scheduled shift. Responsibilities include maintaining a visible security presence, checking credentials, assisting with crowd control, and reporting incidents.

Qualifications

Valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card.
Prior security or crowd-control experience preferred.
Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Monitor event entrances, exits, restricted areas, and assigned posts.
Check credentials, tickets, badges, wristbands, or guest lists when required.
Assist with crowd control and maintain designated barriers and event routes.
Protect VIP, backstage, staging, vendor, and staff-only areas.
Help maintain appropriate spacing between vehicles, floats, performers, or event participants.
Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, disturbances, or emergencies.
Provide guests with professional directions and assistance.
Follow event-specific post orders and instructions from supervisors and management.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and other security personnel.
Complete incident and activity reports when required.
Assist with emergency procedures, evacuations, and coordination with first responders.
Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or dismissed by a supervisor.
