Job summary

Smile4Life Security Protection Corp. is seeking reliable Event Security Guards to join our special-events team for parades, festivals, concerts, and private functions in New York City and surrounding areas.

This is an on-call, part-time, no guaranteed schedule position. Guards will arrive on time, maintain a professional presence, monitor entrances, assist with crowd control, protect restricted areas, and report incidents as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current New York State Security Guard Registration Card.
• Previous security, crowd-control, or event-experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation to assigned events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence at events.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and posts.
• Check credentials, tickets, badges, or guest lists when required.
• Assist with crowd control and barriers.
• Protect VIP, backstage, vendor, and staff areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activities or emergencies.
• Provide guests with directions and assistance.
• Follow post orders from supervisors.
• Communicate clearly with security staff.
• Complete incident reports when required.
• Assist with emergency procedures and evacuations.
• Remain at the post until relieved.
