25N Coworking in Schaumburg, IL seeks a Day-Of Events Host on-call to provide on-the-spot support for member and public events, delivering hospitable touches to ensure smooth operations and guest comfort.

As an independent contractor (1099), you will assist with planning, coordinate staff, greet guests, maintain space cleanliness, enforce safety protocols, and help create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere during events.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, hospitality, or event management preferred.
• Proven team player and collaborator.
• Excellent people skills and relationship-building ability.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of tasks with attention to detail.
• Willingness to be flexible and assist with any task needed to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the planning, preparation, and organization of events.
• Managing kitchen and serving staff (when applicable).
• Receiving and directing guests to their event space/seats.
• Answering questions and addressing concerns of guests in a charming, polite manner.
• Ensuring that the event space is clean prior to and after the event.
• Double-checking that health safety measures are observed and staff are versed in emergency protocols.
• Creating a positive, relaxed atmosphere for guests.
• Coordinating different teams to work harmoniously.
• Be the responsible first and last point of contact for the building.
• Create authentic points of connection while checking members and guests in and out.
