Job summary

Gundersen Health System Ambulance in Sparta, WI is seeking a casual on-call EMT to join our ambulance team. You will respond, treat, and transport patients in emergency and non-emergency settings as part of a crew on an ambulance serving a multi-county region.

The role requires EMT-B, NREMT, BLS, CEVO and ICS certifications with a flexible schedule including 12- and 24-hour shifts. Starting pay is $17.54 per hour and shifts can involve ride-along training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• National Registry EMT-Basic (NREMT) licensed.
• Wisconsin EMT-B license by start; Minnesota EMT license within 60 days.
• Valid Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Iowa driver’s license.
• Current Infant-Adult BLS for Health Care Providers.
• CEVO or equivalent & ICS 100, 200 and 700 course certificates required within 60 days of hire.
• Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 911 and interfacility transfer calls.
• Provide EMT-level clinical care to patients of all ages.
• Work as a crew member on an ambulance in Rural 911 and interfacility environments.
• Support Gundersen Critical Access hospitals and affiliated services.
