Job summary

The Lewis Group in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an Emergency Response Supervisor to execute and coordinate emergency response services, partnering with Field Supervisors, Response Coordinators, and Project Managers. The role involves managing field personnel and equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of services, with increased availability outside normal hours.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in a comparable position in an environmental contracting company.
• Must have flexibility in personal schedule including weekend and on call status.
• Strong focus on Safety, Integrity, Accountability, and Quality.
• 40 Hours OSHA and related Safety Training (training provided).
• DOT Supervisory Drug & Alcohol Training (training provided).
• DOT Examiner's Certificate (will be part of pre-employment testing).
• A CDL is preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure field crews follow JSAs and monitor personal protective equipment levels.
• Provide leadership to Royersford based Spill Leaders and FTO.
• Ensure clear communication through the Emergency Services Chain of Command.
• Follow directions from Field Supervisor/Response Coordinator/Project Managers.
• Enforce safe work practices per company rules and OSHA regulations.
• Lead field crews by assigning tasks to ensure quality completion.
• Assist in training and development of newly hired staff.
• Handle employee concerns efficiently and professionally.
• Report Health & Safety incidents/near misses and assist investigations.
• Perform tasks per company and client policies to meet safety and quality goals.
• Adhere to regulations on handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Review work plans and equipment requirements for efficient start/finish.
• Maximize use of Lewis-owned resources and proper equipment maintenance.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure customer sign-off.
• Photo-document all response activities before, during, and after.
• Maintain professional communication with client/third-party owners.
• Safeguard confidential, sensitive, or privileged information.
