Job summary

North Kansas City Schools seeks an English Language Learners, On-Call Assessor to administer language development assessments to district students. The role is on-call and primarily active during the busiest periods: July–September and January–March.

Requires at least sixty college hours, basic computer skills, and strong communication abilities with diverse stakeholders. Reports to the ELL Program Coordinator; position supports ELL program goals and safety compliance within a standard school

Qualifications

• Minimum of sixty college hours from an accredited college or university.
• Experience administering any form of assessment with students is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences (ELL staff, parents, students).

Responsibilities

• Administers the district’s ELL language development intake assessment for language minority students.
• Administers annual federally-mandated assessments of ELL students.
• On-call availability with peak workload during July–September and January–March.
• Maintains necessary training certification for assessment administration.
• Adheres to district rules, safety practices and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
