Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily tasks and community activities.

You will support personal care, meal prep, transportation, documentation, and health plan adherence in a on-call Augusta, GA setting. The role emphasizes safety, empathy, and fostering independence for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals as required to meet employment, recreational and leisure activities.
• Performs housekeeping responsibilities to include kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms, and floors.
• Maintains all standards when preparing meals and managing diets.
• Ensures meals are prepared according to Individual Healthcare plans.
• Provides personal care support to individuals including ADLs.
• Complete documentation in Therap system and other programs.
• Reports to work promptly and on time and does not leave work until assigned shift ends or has approval from supervisor.
