Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of South Carolina is seeking On Call Direct Support Professionals to provide care and training for residents with multiple disabilities, supporting daily activities and safety.

This on-call position requires engagement in transportation, daily logging, personal hygiene assistance, meal support, and safety responsibilities across shift changes. Flexible schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct care or caregiving preferred.
• Ability to assist with daily living activities.
• Willingness to work flexible/on-call schedules.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in activities of choice to support ISP goals.
• Provide transportation and supervision as required by each program.
• Record daily activities and residents’ needs in logs.
• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Help with meals and basic cooking tasks.
• Ensure safety checks at shift start and document deficiencies.
• Conduct evacuation drills as directed by supervisor.
• Follow program plans for emergencies and disasters.
• Maintain cleanliness of appliances, surfaces and bathrooms.
• Comply with confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
