Job summary

City of Seattle seeks qualified intermittent Dining Room Attendants to clean the dining room in the Seattle Center Armory. Shifts vary during events, weekends, and holidays, with reporting to the Armory Manager. Candidates should have experience in commercial dining or janitorial work and be able to communicate in English.

Positions are on-call with no guaranteed hours; salary starts at $29.62–$31.49 per hour with premium pay for hours worked. Pre-employment physical and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working in commercial dining rooms, food service, commercial janitorial industry or other applicable work history.
• Ability to interact in a helpful and courteous manner with a diverse workforce and patrons.
• Ability to read and communicate in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Monitor dining area, clean tables using a pushcart containing cleaning supplies and trash containers
• Empty garbage, compost and recycling bags and clean large garbage receptacles weighing up to 25 pounds
• Sweep, dust mop and mop floors
• Adjust tables and chairs to keep dining area safe and organized.
• Operate and maintain cleanliness around trash compactor and receptacle can washer
• Provide uplifting customer service while answering general questions from patrons
