Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Cyto Accessioning Technician I in Indianapolis, IN, on-call. Primary duties include data entry into the LIS, specimen handling, and supporting cytology accessioning with attention to accuracy and timely processing.

The role requires a data-entry background and a willingness to work varied shifts, including days, nights, or afternoons, with potential on weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. On-call status may apply based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Medical background with terminology related to a clinical lab is preferred.
• Production environment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient data into the LIS and ensure accuracy.
• Assist with presort, pickup, and delivery of specimens as needed.
• Learn and follow test ordering compliance policies and translation tables.
• Document procedures legibly and on time.
• Maintain production/quality standards and meet timelines.
• Support Cytology Accessioning to enable progression to the next level.
