Job summary

Multnomah County Corrections Health seeks an On-Call Community Health Nurse to provide professional healthcare to detained individuals from intake through custody. The role partners with deputies, delivers assessments and treatment, and supports safe, effective care across three facilities in Portland.

Candidate must hold an Oregon RN license, Associate's degree in nursing, and BLS/CPR. Vaccination requirements apply, with overtime and shift differentials noted.

Qualifications

• Possession of an RN license issued by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Experience serving diverse and vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to acute medical and mental health events.
• Evaluate, monitor, and treat drug and alcohol withdrawal.
• Wound care and delegation of Certified Medication Aides.
• Health education and transition planning for release.
