Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360 is seeking an On-Call Cook to support the Food Services Department at the North County Serenity House program in San Francisco. The role requires preparing meals, managing inventories, and ensuring food safety in a trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
• Current certification in food safety and sanitation.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Experience in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals that are well-balanced, nutritious, and appealing.
• Follow the production menu and prepare food for residents and events.
• Manage costs by reducing waste and using donations creatively; order within budget.
• Transport food and supplies between facilities with the kitchen van.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance per safety codes.
• Train and supervise clients assigned to the kitchen; ensure adherence to policies.
