Job summary

Grand Meadow Senior Living is seeking an on-call Cook and Dining Services Aide (Dietary Aide) to cover shifts as needed, especially on weekends. You’ll prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a warm, welcoming community, with the potential for extra hours on a flexible basis.

This casual/on-call role is perfect for students, retirees, or anyone seeking additional hours. Most applicants hear back within 48 hours after applying.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food service experience (required).
• Basic knowledge of cooking methods and food safety.
• Availability to cover shifts on call, especially weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Cook and serve meals following food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follow menus and residents’ dietary needs, including special and texture-modified diets.
• Keep kitchen equipment, work areas, and storage spaces clean.
• Receive deliveries and store food and supplies properly.
• Make sure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Interact with residents, guests, and team members in a friendly, professional way.
