Job summary

PJ Helicopters is seeking Call When Needed Second in Command pilots for CH-47D and UH-60A+ external load operations. On-call year-round opportunities exist with per diem, lodging, and travel covered. Potential path to permanent full-time employment with a robust benefits package.

Candidates should have turbine helicopter time, CH-47D/F or UH-60A/L/M experience, and current rotorcraft certificates. Availability to travel to California is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum turbine time and type-specific flight hours as listed.
• Valid rotorcraft certificate with BV-234 or S-70 rating or equivalent.
• Medical certificate current and flight review completed in last year.

Responsibilities

• Operate as Call When Needed Second in Command on CH-47D and UH-60A programs.
• Participate in fire suppression, utility and construction operations as assigned.
• Travel to California for hiring and later deployments as required.
• Maintain safety and readiness for external load operations.

Skills

Turbine helicopter time

CH-47D/F and UH-60A/L/M hours

Flight medical certification

Education

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate BV-234 or S-70 Type Rating
