Job summary

Restaurant Associates in Boston is seeking an on-call Catering Captain to coordinate catering staff and ensure timely service for scheduled functions at Morgan Stanley, 1 Post Office Square. The role requires previous front-of-house captain/lead experience and may involve driving for deliveries.

A valid driver's license and required permits may be needed. The position offers pay between $24 and $26 per hour with a free shift meal.

Responsibilities

Coordinates catering staff schedules to ensure functions are delivered, served and cleared in a timely fashion.
Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under supervision.
May drive a truck to deliver food and beverages to catered functions.
Determine workload from catering orders and ensure proper setup.
Meet with function group leaders to discuss setup; address changes and resolve problems.
Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ensure food safety standards.
Instruct staff on work expectations for catered functions.
Set up rooms to desired specifications and deliver food and supplies to locations.
Serve food and beverages to guests and manage equipment and utensils.
