Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking an on-call Catering Attendant for immediate hire at Manhattanville University, Purchase, NY. The position is on-call with hours and days varying; prior catering experience is required.

The role involves delivering and serving at functions, setup and breakdown, with potential driving duties and a focus on safety and sanitation. Compensation is $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior catering experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required; must have or obtain a valid food handler’s permit and/or alcohol servers’ permit as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions at scheduled locations.
• Logs and maintains food temperatures.
• Arranges tables and decorations.
• Sets up buffet tables with food, beverages and service items.
• Serves food and beverages to guests.
• Cleans location after events and restores equipment to the catering facility.
• Returns leftover food and equipment in a timely manner.
• Maintains knowledge of complete menu and products on hand.
• Follows safety and sanitation policies at all times.
