Job summary

Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking an On-Call Caregiver to support seniors at home, outside regular business hours. You will be the go-to person for last-minute calls and urgent client needs, helping keep clients safe and comfortable and boosting their spirits during on-call shifts.

You will earn a stipend for being on call and an hourly wage for all visits completed, with responsibilities like returning calls quickly, reviewing care plans, and maintaining confidentiality. All are welcome.

Responsibilities

As an On‑Call Caregiver, you take ownership of your role and:

1. Commit to being on call during specific days and hours, ready to step in when you\'re needed most.

2. Earn a stipend for being on call, plus an hourly wage for all client visits you complete.

3. Return all calls within 15 minutes during your on‑call window and understand you may be called at any time in that period (for example, at midnight for an overnight shift if on call from 8 pm–8 am).

4. Are able to leave for a client visit within 30 minutes of being contacted by the On‑Call Supervisor.

5. Accept all assignments during your on‑call period, regardless of location, including some assisted living and hospice shifts where we support staffing needs.

6. Review each client\'s care plan before providing care to ensure safe, confident service.

7. Maintain reliable transportation so you can reach any client who needs you during on‑call hours.

8. Communicate promptly with the agency about any issues, changes, or concerns.

9. Complete all required documentation clearly, accurately, and on time.

10. Protect client confidentiality at all times.

11. Immediately report any concerns of client abuse or neglect.

12. Perform all tasks outlined in the HHA, CNA, or PCA job descriptions.
