Job summary

Texas Southern University in Houston is seeking an Electrician Journeyman to oversee electrical technicians, perform maintenance on campus electrical systems, and lead projects as needed.

Under general supervision, you will troubleshoot low to medium voltage issues, maintain lighting, install and repair electrical equipment, and coordinate with A/C and plumbing teams to resolve electrical problems. A Journeyman license and 3–5 years of experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists other departments with electrical work and coordinates with contractors.
• Installs, repairs, and replaces electrical equipment and panels.
• Responds to on-site outages and emergencies as needed.
• Leads electrical projects and coordinates with supervisors.
