Job summary

ABM Industries seeks a Building Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, and electrical systems at a commercial site in the US. The role requires hands-on experience across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance and the ability to read blueprints and diagrams.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years experience, a stationary engineer license or equivalent trade cert, and ability to work on-call. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years in building/industrial facilities maintenance with HVAC, plumbing and electrical work.
  • Valid stationary engineer license or equivalent trade certification as required locally.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, refrigeration equipment, and control systems.
  • Must be able to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs and be on-call.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain and repair boilers, pumps, valves, and related lines for steam and hot water.
  • Install and service air conditioning units, fans, compressors, and refrigerant lines.
  • Maintain electrical power distribution and control components for building systems.
  • Read blueprints and monitor building automation to ensure energy efficient operation.
