Job summary

Winthrop University is looking for a Break Resident Assistant to establish a presence in the residence hall during low-occupancy periods. This role requires 24/7 on-call coverage to respond to emergencies and ensure student safety.

Ideal candidates must be current Resident Assistants, living on campus during on-call days, and able to respond to emergencies within 15 minutes. Compensation is $50 per shift, and the position does not allow for additional employment during the break period.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Winthrop Resident Assistant in good standing.
• Must be living on campus during scheduled on call days.
• Must remain within Rock Hill city limits during scheduled on call days.
• Will not have additional employment during the break period outside of Residence Life.
• Must respond to emergencies in person within 15 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Share a 24/7 on call coverage schedule with other Resident Assistants.
• Respond to student and facilities emergencies in the assigned residence hall.
• Complete building rounds and duty logs per shift.
• Cooperate with the professional staff member on duty.
• Assist exterminator with room access if necessary.
