Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Bartender Non-Tipped for the University of Maine at Orono. This on-call part-time role involves preparing and serving drinks, collaborating with servers, and delivering quick, accurate service to guests. Open shifts are available with varying days; applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 0–1 year of relevant experience.

Must meet local alcohol service age requirements. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
0–1 year of relevant bartending experience preferred.
Ability to mix and serve a wide range of beverages correctly.
Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

Receive customers, mix and serve drinks with/without alcohol and create recipes with proper garnishes.
Ensure the bar area is equipped with tools and products to mix drinks.
Prepare accurate start counts and place inventory orders as needed.
Be cordial, diplomatic and attentive when dealing with customers.
Walk or move around the bar area as needed during shifts.
Stand for long periods and potentially exceed 8 hours per shift.
Reach, bend, squat, push and pull and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Attend to work and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
