Job summary

Hyatt is hiring an On-Call Events Houseperson to support meetings, conferences, and special events at Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. This 30-day temporary role requires hands-on work, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will collaborate with Banquet, Event Planning, Culinary, Stewarding, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event execution, from setup through breakdown, while upholding Hyatt's culture of care.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality, banquet, event setup, housekeeping, stewarding, or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to work the overnight shift.
• Flexible on-call schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, refresh, and break down meeting rooms, ballrooms, pre-function areas, and event spaces per orders and standards.
• Transport and arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, podiums, linens, and equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure event setups are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
• Respond promptly to guest, client, manager, and team requests.
• Assist with last-minute room changes, resets, and special event needs.
• Support related teams with equipment setup, buffet tables, beverage stations, and service areas.
• Inspect spaces prior to guest arrival for cleanliness and safety.
