Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton – Downtown South Bend is seeking an On-Call Banquet Server to support banquets, meetings, weddings, and events. The role offers as-needed shifts with variable hours and requires professionalism and hospitality excellence.

You will set up spaces, greet guests, serve food and beverages, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, banquet service, table settings, and guest service etiquette.
• Ability to provide professional and courteous service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including banquet event orders (BEOs).
• Ability to maintain professional appearance and comply with hotel uniform standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications and prepare serviceware.
• Greet guests warmly and respond to inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverages per hotel service standards and supervisor directions.
• Promptly clear dishes and service items during events.
• Replenish beverages and monitor guest needs for satisfaction.
• Break down and reset banquet spaces after events and ensure cleanliness.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with health regulations.
