The Joseph Hotel – Nashville is seeking polished, energetic On-Call Banquet Servers to join our Food & Beverage team. You will help create memorable experiences for guests at weddings, corporate events, galas, and private dinners in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

This on-call position offers scheduling based on hotel and event business levels; availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; lift, carry, and transport banquet items as required.
• Must be available to work on-call, including evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, polished, and attentive service for weddings, corporate events, and private functions.
• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to BEOs and standards.
• Prepare tables, linens, place settings, glassware, and service stations.
• Welcome guests and provide professional, personalized service throughout events.
• Serve meals and beverages according to event specifications.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and graciously.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and event details.
• Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of spaces during service.
• Assist with resetting and breaking down spaces after events.
• Communicate with Banquet Captains, Culinary, and Stewarding teams for seamless execution.

Position Overview

The Joseph is seeking polished, energetic, and hospitality-drivenOn-Call Banquet Servers to join our exceptional Food & Beverage team.

As an On-Call Banquet Server, you will help create memorable experiences for our guests during weddings, corporate meetings, galas, receptions, private dinners, and other special events. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment, enjoys working as part of a team, and takes pride in delivering attentive and gracious service.

This is anon-call position, with scheduling based on hotel and event business levels. Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts is essential.

What You'll Do

• Provide warm, polished, and attentive service consistent withThe Joseph, Marriott Luxury Collection, and Forbes Travel Guide service standards
• Set up banquet rooms and event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs), diagrams, and established service standards
• Prepare tables, chairs, linens, place settings, glassware, silverware, buffets, and service stations
• Welcome guests and provide professional, personalized service throughout each event
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, beverages, and other food and beverage offerings according to event specifications
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and graciously to requests
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverages, and event details
• Clear tables and maintain the cleanliness and presentation of banquet and event spaces throughout service
• Assist with resetting and breaking down event spaces at the conclusion of functions
• Communicate effectively with Banquet Captains, Culinary, Stewarding, and fellow team members to ensure seamless execution
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel safety procedures
• Handle banquet equipment, china, glassware, linens, and other hotel property with care
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork when event schedules, guest counts, or operational needs change
• Perform additional duties as needed to support successful events and the overall operation

What We're Looking For

• Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred
• Luxury hotel, fine-dining, or upscale event experience is a plus
• Strong guest service and communication skills
• Professional appearance, demeanor, and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining composure and gracious hospitality
• Strong teamwork and willingness to assist wherever needed
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, BEOs, and established service standards
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely lift, carry, and transport banquet equipment, trays, tables, chairs, and service items as required
• Must be available to work a flexibleon-call schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events based on business needs
• Must meet applicable requirements for serving alcoholic beverages
