Job summary

Blue Man Group Orlando is seeking an on-call Automation Technician to support maintenance, fabrication, and operation of all show automation and carpentry. You will run show tracks, assist rehearsals, and ensure safety standards are followed.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in low-light environments, with weekend and holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Experience in a team-based theatrical environment is required.
• Background in carpentry, rigging, and automation is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and installation of show elements including scenery, rigging, automation, and backstage equipment.
• Help manage shop materials inventory and consumables.
• Attend management meetings and support rehearsals and gigs.
• Operate show tracks and assist with safety procedures.
