Job summary

All Access Staging and Productions, Inc. is seeking an Electro-mechanical Technician to prepare, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate automation and staging equipment for live entertainment productions.

From shop prep to on-site installation and operation, you will ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and show-ready. This is a non-exempt, full-time, on-site role with PTO, health insurance, and a 401(k) after waiting periods.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair automation equipment.
  • Experience with entertainment automation systems is preferred.
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Forklift certification is a plus (training provided).
  • Basic hand tools are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test automation and staging equipment, including lifts and LED fixtures.
  • Prepare and organize equipment for tours and live events.
  • Install, operate, and support automation systems at client locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections to keep equipment production-ready.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, power, and data-related issues.
  • Assemble and test automation equipment per production specs.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Fabrication, Warehouse, and Production teams.
  • Anticipate equipment needs by preparing spare parts to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and assist crews during shop prep, load-ins, and load-outs.
  • Follow safety policies and participate in training.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at customer sites.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employee Type: Full-Time

Pay Type: Hourly / bi-weekly

Pay Range: $22-28 per hour - Depending on experience / on-site event work compensated at +30% premium rate

Summary

The Electro-mechanical Technician is responsible for preparing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating automation and staging equipment for live entertainment productions. From shop preparation to on-site installation and operation, this position ensures equipment is safe, reliable, and show ready. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

This is a non-exempt hourly position that includes eligibility for PTO, health insurance, and a 401(k) following the applicable waiting periods.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test automation and staging equipment, including lifts, turntables, rotating systems, LED fixtures, and other stage effects.

  • Prepare, inspect, and organize equipment for concert tours, and other live events.
  • Install, operate, and support automation systems at client locations as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine safety inspections to ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and production ready.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, power, and data-related issues with automation systems and related equipment.
  • Assemble and test automation equipment according to production specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Fabrication, Warehouse, and Production teams to prepare equipment according to project requirements.
  • Anticipate equipment needs by preparing spare equipment and replacement components to minimize downtime during productions.
  • Utilize the company's inventory management system (Flex)
  • Lead and assist crews during shop preparations, load-ins, installations, rehearsals, and load-outs.
  • Follow all company safety policies and participate in required safety and emergency response training.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company at customer sites.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
