Job summary

Stantec’s Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team is seeking archaeologists to support field surveys, data collection, and monitoring across multiple western offices. You will work under field directors and project managers, contribute to identifying sites, and help with pre-field planning while traveling as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Anthropology or Archaeology, have CRM experience, familiarity with Trimble GPS, Survey123, and Collector, and are willing to travel up to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required.
• 1 year CRM experience preferred.
• Experience with both small and large archaeological crews.
• Specialization in Section 106 compliance on federal lands is a plus.
• Willing to travel out-of-town up to 2 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring under field directors and project managers.
• Exhibit field skills and work independently and as part of a crew.
• Identify and document archaeological potential areas, sites, and traditional use sites.
• Collect field data and support construction planning.
