Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Trinity, FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the care and teaching of patients in oncology.

You will assess physical and psychosocial status, write prescriptions, determine trial eligibility, participate in daily rounds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality cancer care across locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with a master's or certificate.
• Florida license and prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Certification from PANCE, AANP, ANCC, or ONCC.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and psychosocial status through interviews, health histories, and examinations.
• Write prescriptions for medications and manage care per protocols.
• Determine patient eligibility for entry into clinical trials and support enrollment.
• Interpret and evaluate findings of studies/tests and relay care plans to physicians.
• Dictate follow-up letters and progress notes to referring physicians; document care timely.
• Provide on‑call coverage and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
