Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short memos and write simple correspondence.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rates, ratios and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with coworkers and coordinate tasks.
• Respond to resident/management work orders for occupied and vacant units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on apartment materials and prepare for move-ins/move-outs.
• Identify and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and repair vacant units before move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled, including weekends and overtime when required.
• Operate machinery safely and follow safety procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Assist other communities within the organization as needed.
