Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a Masters-prepared specialty anesthesiologist assistant to work under a licensed anesthesiologist. The role involves administering anesthesia, coordinating pre- and post-operative care, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

Eligible candidates will collaborate with a supervising anesthesiologist, document patient data, and follow protocols for anesthesia delivery and monitoring. Limited to select locations based on workplace dynamics.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required for practice in anesthesia setting.
• Less than 1 year of experience in anesthesiology assistance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia under an anesthesiologist's direction.
• Monitors patient status with ASA standard monitors and other devices.
• Performs perioperative tasks including pre-op evaluations and post-op care.
• Manages ventilator support and acute pain per protocol and supervision.
• Collaborates with supervising anesthesiologist on induction and extubation.
• Maintains comprehensive patient documentation for anesthetic planning.
