Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Food Service Worker to assist in preparing and serving meals at the Air Force base. You will support opening/closing duties, operate kitchen tools, and maintain high sanitation standards. The role may involve tray line distribution and customer interaction in dining areas.

Attention to safety, ability to follow SOPs, and dependable scheduling are required. Prior food service or cleaning experience is preferred to ensure smooth operations on busy service days.

Qualifications

• AbilityOne eligibility is preferred but not required for this opening.
• Food service, kitchen, or cleaning experience is helpful but may not be required.
• Must be able to successfully access and report to the Air Force base.
• Must be dependable and able to work the assigned schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, and season food for cooking, serving and storing.
• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following HACCP and safety rules.
• Sets up stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, and condiments.
• Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables and breaks down stations after meals.
