Job summary

BOOST Radio in the Greater St. Louis Area is seeking a BOOST Air Talent & Programming (APD/MD) / Production Assistant to deliver high-energy CHH content on a daily air shift. You will manage on-air conversations, music logs, and production tasks while engaging listeners across social platforms.

The role blends on-air performance with program and music direction, requires faith integration, and involves collaborating with staff and guest DJs to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Radio and Marketing experience a plus.
• Content creation.
• Highly motivated to grow and develop as you work hard and love people well.
• Basic proficiency with audio production software (e.g., Adobe Audition).
• Familiarity with or an eagerness to learn WideOrbit and PowerGold radio automation and music scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Compelling, Interactive Content creation.
• Execute a high-energy, engaging daily air shift, delivering an authentic, conversational show.
• Turn phones, texts, social media, games, and listener stories into the focal point of your show.
• Discuss CHH culture, artists, trends, and releases on-air.
• Oversee Mix DJ schedule, and mix placement into logs.
• Create, schedule, and reconcile daily music logs.
• Input, code, and track all music data inside music scheduling software.
• Coordinate schedules for all on-air staff.
• Production: create and edit audio, dubbing into WideOrbit.
• Oversee guest Mix DJs and ensure assets hit deadlines.
• Write copy for station liners, promos, underwriting spots, and imaging.
• Brand Extension & Faith Mission; create social content (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Turn on-air moments into compelling digital touchpoints; represent the BOOST brand on social and events.
• Weave faith into content; live out growing personal relationship with Jesus.
• Maintain involvement in a local Bible-believing church community.

What You'll Do

• Compelling, Interactive Content creation
• Execute a high-energy, engaging daily air shift, delivering an authentic, conversational, and relatable show
• Turn phones, texts, social media, games, and listener stories into the focal point of your show
• Bring a deep understanding of—or a genuine curiosity to immerse yourself in—CHH culture, artists, trends, and releases to your on-air conversations
• Assistant Program Director and Music Director responsibilities
• Oversee mix song lists, Mix DJ schedule, and mix placement into logs
• Create, schedule, and reconcile daily music logs
• Input, code, and track all music data inside music scheduling software
• Coordinate schedules for all on-air staff
• Production
• Assist the Production Director with creating, editing audio, and dubbing audio into WideOrbit
• Oversee guest Mix DJs and tracking down their weekly assets to ensure they hit production deadlines
• Write creative, concise, and punchy copy for station liners, promos, underwriting spots, and imaging
• Brand Extension & Faith Mission
• Create engaging content for social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
• Turn on-air moments into compelling digital touchpoints
• Represent the BOOST brand (personally) on social platforms and at station / community events
• Weave your faith into content creation
