Job summary

GBH in Boston seeks a Chyron Operator for on-air graphics, delivering two channels of live and pre-taped content using Chyron Prime.

You will work with the show producer and director to ensure accurate, high-quality graphics and messages, while maintaining composure during live productions; some nights and weekends are required.

Hybrid role with on-site days and in-person work at 1 Guest Street, Brighton.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience operating Chyron at a broadcast facility.
• Excellent communication on headsets and in person.
• Ability to work under pressure in live production.
• Detail-oriented with strong executive function.
• Experience with Windows and basic troubleshooting.
• Understanding of how a broadcast facility interconnects.

Responsibilities

• Operate two channels of on-air graphics using Chyron Prime.
• Play out, change, and insert messages as directed by the director.
• Check each message for spelling, style, and grammatical errors.
• Take direction from the show producer and TV director to achieve the desired graphic style.
• Perform duties under pressure in a live production environment; some nights and weekends required.
• In-person at 1 Guest Street, Brighton.
