Job summary

Sushi by Scratch Restaurants, part of Scratch Restaurants Group, seeks an experienced bartender for our intimate 10-seat Sushi Bar. You will deliver expert front-of-house service, explain beverage options, and manage sake and Japanese whiskey pairings to enhance an omakase experience.

As the sole FOH member, you will craft seasonal cocktails, oversee bar operations, and ensure hospitality that creates lasting memories for every guest.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as bartender or fine dining waitstaff.
• Preference for Japanese concepts and beverage service.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memories.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Full-time availability for nights and weekends.
• Legal ability to work with alcohol and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide front of house service during omakase-style dining.
• Explain beverage options, take orders, and serve beverages.
• Manage sake and Japanese whiskey pairings.
• Design beverage options and seasonal cocktails reflecting Japanese influence.
• Oversee bar setup, prep, cleanliness, and closing.
• Handle guest payments with accuracy and warmth.
• Engage guests and teammates with professionalism.
• Host in lounge when required.
