OLEDWorks is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to execute and report on projects focused on tooling, fixturing, process design, optimization, and safety/quality systems improvements. The role involves creating drawings, developing test plans, and documenting specifications for new tooling and processes.

Ideal candidates have a background in mechanical or industrial engineering, familiarity with lab tools, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of completed college coursework and current student status required.
  • Degrees/areas of study in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Environmental Health and Safety are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design tooling, fixturing and guarding for current and new processes.
  • Create drawings and prints for tooling and fixturing and equipment components.
  • Develop project plans to test and implement tooling, fixturing and processes.
  • Validate and implement new designs.
  • Create documentation for tooling, fixturing and processes (quality specs, safety requirements, SOPs).
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE as required.
