The coach will plan 3-5 practices per week, oversee 12-18 meets, ensure student safety, and communicate with families and school staff about schedules and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching middle school-aged students preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wrestling rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team of young athletes.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster a positive sports environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Job Overview

The wrestling coach will be responsible for coaching, supervising, and managing the wrestling team during practices and games. • Help plan, organize, and conduct 3-5 practices per week.
• Supervise and manage the team during 12-18 scheduled contests.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance during all practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team.
• Create and implement practice plans focused on player skill development, game strategies, and fitness.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about schedules, team progress, and any concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all district policies and athletic guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly with middle school-aged students.
• Strong understanding of wrestling rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Ability to effectively communicate and manage a team of young athletes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to promote a positive sports environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification

Work Schedule

• Practices: 3-5 per week (scheduled after school).
• Meets: 12-18 scheduled meets over the season (including home and away meets).

Stipend

• $2,550.00
