Job summary

• NYS Coaching Certification is required.
• First Aid, CPR/AED, and Concussion Certification required.
• Previous sport-specific experience preferred.
• Experience working with high school/middle school aged students preferred.
• Knowledge of sport-specific safety guidelines and regulations for athletes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily after-school practices appropriate for the level.
• Supervise student athletes ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Manage team equipment and uniforms.
• Academic support for student athletes.
• Coordinate game-day logistics.
• Coordinate/Communicate with athletic director.
• Communicate with families and athletes (practices, games, roles, etc.).
• Adhere to union contract and district policies.
• Adhere to NYSPHSAA requirements.

Job description

Length of Season

• Start Date: 11/23/26 or 11/30/26
• Approximate Regular Season Duration: 14 weeks

Practice & Game Schedule

• Weekly Practices: weekdays and, if necessary, weekends
• Regular Season Schedule: maximum number of contests = 14 points

Administrative Responsibilities

• Required district/Section IX paperwork/responsibilities
• Coordinate/Communicate with athletic director
• Communication with families and athletes (practices, games, roles, etc.)
• Compliance with union contract and district policies
• Adhere to all requirements in the Section IX sport specific handbook
• Adhere to all NYSPHSAA Requirements

Program Responsibilities
